Growing up, many of us were never given the tools to understand and embrace our own sexuality, to unashamedly see ourselves as expressive and whole sexual beings, and to get to know our own likes, dislikes and the tender emotions we may have that make us who we are.

During this 8-week course, Dave Bevan & Ria Hope invite you to join them on a journey through the discovery of your own innate sexual needs and desires.

We will be exploring how we can honour and bring to light the beautiful and sometimes challenging ways that our sexuality can present itself in our lives, to spend time getting to know our erotic selves better and how we can move towards being able to communicate our desires to others.

Some things we will explore (the WHAT):

- Building a secure online container

- Emotional first-aid and regulation tools

- Comprehensive and embodied exploration of consent & boundaries

- Common blocks and challenges: shame, confusion, numbness, lack of role models

- Understanding and embracing your desires

- Deconditioning and reclaiming your sexuality

- Embracing & honouring yourself as a sensual/sexual being

- Kink, shadow and darker fantasies

- Communication tools

The ways we will offer them (the HOW):

- A commitment to offering unconditional welcome and care, no matter where you are at with your journey or how you are feeling

- Deeply trauma-informed exercises to build trust and safety  

- Embodiment exercises, movement and other practices

- Wide-ranging and accessible information on sexuality, suitable for all levels

- A space to share and learn with others on the course 

- Choice at each stage as to whether and how you participate

- Keeping the group limited to 18 participants for personalised support and content

The Practicalities / Logistics

Alive & Whole spans across 8 weeks, from April 1st to May 20th 2024, with an integration week halfway through.

The course is delivered via Zoom, but there are plenty of off-screen exercises for you to take away.

Each class is held on a Monday, from 7-9.30pm GMT.

There are only 18 spaces available on the course.

Your Investment

We believe in fair access to education on sexuality and relationships and believe in community spaces as a way to provide that.

When pricing this course we have taken into account the amount of hours it takes to create, market and deliver this content and from there, fairly work out a price to offer, without jeopardising the efforts of the facilitators.

There are 2 x pay-what-you-feel places for people heavily impacted by systemic inequality.

Alive & Whole aims to be a space where all human beings can come together to learn about sexuality in a contained and welcoming community. We realise that this takes an acute level of consideration for the fact that everyone’s experiences of sexuality are not the same.

Your facilitators have a variety of experiences in terms of identity. We are between us queer, polyamorous, white, able-bodied and gender diverse. 

Gender and sexuality differences, different races and cultural backgrounds, disabilities and neurodiversity are celebrated and welcomed here as an integral part of our community and ethos. As a team, we educate ourselves regularly on the experiences of others and how this allows people to show up in this work.
